Solving Cold-Standby Reliability-Redundancy Allocation Problems with Particle-Based Simplified Swarm Optimization

Particle swarm optimization (PSO) and simplified (SSO) are two of the state-of-the-art intelligence technique that is widely utilized for purposes. This paper describes a particle-based (PSSO) procedure which combines update mechanisms (UMs) PSO SSO to determine optimal system reliability reliability-redundancy allocation problems (RRAPs) with cold-standby strategy while aimed at maximizing reliability. With comprehensive experimental test on typical famous four benchmarks RRAP, PSSO compared other recently introduced algorithms in different used systems, i.e., series system, series-parallel complex (bridge) an overspeed protection gas turbine. Finally, results experiments demonstrate can effectively solve RRAP has good performance obtained although best not all benchmarks.
